Members considered the annual insurance renewal for the Council. The Town Clerk advised that there had been updates to the assets and staffing.

Members questioned whether the office computer equipment was covered by the policy and it was suggested that the Town Clerk clarified this and added in this cover if required.

The Town Clerk suggested adding cyber protection and would look into this if the Committee was agreeable and suggested the Committee agree to approve an insurance renewal of up to £18,000.

Resolved that the Council’s insurance renewal be approved up to £18,000. With the exact figure being reported back to the Committee once clarifications on computer equipment cover and cyber protection had been sought and added if necessary.
