Members considered the minutes of the Manor House & Riverside Centre Committee meeting held on 12 February 2024.

 

Resolved that the minutes of the Manor House & Riverside Centre Committee meeting held on 12 February 2024 be approved and signed as a correct and accurate record.

Town Clerk's Report (if any)

Minutes:

The Town Clerk reported that:

 

·         Power had now been restored to the garage following restoration of the mains cable, and

·         When considering solar PV on the roof of the Manor House the previous administration had reduced the potential coverage to the inward facing roof spaces.  Before investigating, the Town Clerk requested a steer as to whether this should be pursued, or whether all appropriate roof space should be looked at.  Members indicated options for as much coverage as possible be pursued for consideration at a later date.

 

Resolved that the update be noted.

Manor House Canopy

To note and approve the inclusion of the removal of the canopy as part of the wider external maintenance and redecoration works to the Manor House at a cost of £7,042.53.

Manor House - External Maintenance and Redecoration Works

To receive and note an update regards the forthcoming external maintenance and redecoration works to the Manor House.

Minutes:

The Chair advised she had attended a pre-contract meeting together with the Town Clerk, and Councillors A. James, and Heath to discuss the schedule of work and arrangements going forward.  It was anticipated that scaffolding would be erected within the next week with works beginning from 20 March onwards.
