Manor House External Maintenance & Redecoration Works Update(s) (if any) To receive and note an update (if any) regards the ongoing external maintenance and redecoration works at the Manor House. Minutes: The Town Clerk advised that the removal of the Manor House canopy was complete with further works taking place around the building.
He was currently awaiting the notes of a recent site meeting between the Contractor Administrator, and Project Manager. This would be circulated to Members of the Committee once received.
Resolved that the update be noted. |

Manor House - Lightning Risk Assessment To receive and note the outcome of the lightning risk assessment commissioned for the Manor House. Minutes: Members noted the outcome of the lightening risk assessment which showed a system of lightening protection was required for the Manor House building.
Advice would be sought as to whether additional surge protection measures were required.
The Council’s surveyors would be asked as to the process for making a listed building / planning application to the Planning Authority, Teignbridge District Council.
Resolved that the report and aforementioned tasks be noted. |

Garden Society Request To consider a request from the Garden Society to plant crocus bulbs under the Monterey Pine to complement and enhance the Tete a Tete daffodils already in place around the turning circle. Minutes: Members considered a request from Dawlish Garden Society to plant crocus bulbs under the Monterey Pine to complement and enhance the Tete a Tete daffodils already in place around the turning circle.
Resolved that permission be given to plant crocus bulbs around the base of the Monterey Pine, and that consideration be given to cyclamen also.

Bay Tree To note works required to fell the bay tree within the curtilage of the Manor Grounds, and give consideration to a suitable replacement. Minutes: Members noted that a quotation had been received and approved by the Town Clerk in consultation with the Chair of the Committee to fell the large bay tree in the Manor Car Park in the autumn, and that a suitable replacement tree and / or shrubs would be planted thereafter.
Further suggestions on replacement planting would be provided at an appropriate meeting of the Committee.
Resolved that the update be noted. |

Terms of Reference To review the Committee’s terms of reference and make recommendations (if any) to Town Council for adoption. Minutes: Members considered the Committee’s terms of reference.
Resolved that the terms of reference for the Manor House & Riverside Centre Committee be recommended to the Town Council for approval without change. |
